A KA2 schools’ Exchange of good practices under the title “Storytelling for Cultural and Language Development”
INITIAL TEACHERS’ TRAINING EVENT
Malta, 8-12 October 2018: 2 teachers from each of the 5 partner countries, Malta (coordinator), Greece, Spain, Romania, FYROM, will get together at the Storytelling CLD Initial Meeting.
The meeting will take the form of a training course in the terms required for the project. The context of the activity is scheduled as follows.
Monday

- The power of the story: Using Storytelling to Improve Literacy Learning
- The role of story-telling in language learning
- Story-telling and story-reading: a way to enhance students’ language abilities
Tuesday
- Visit to Newark School and meeting with teachers who regularly use story telling in a multicultural classroom
- Workshop on stories from local legends
- Turning a story into a game
Wednesday
- CLIL and story- telling
- Storytelling as a strategy to increase oral language proficiency of second language learners
- Improving students’ speaking skills through story telling
- Motivating students to read and tell stories
